I took the remote that came with my first TV into town and turned the volume of every TV in one shop to maximum one night after close. I also once saw somebody switch a window display to 'Red Hot Dutch' over night, there was a huge crowd of drunk guys with kebabs leering in from the street.:D

Amazing how polarized the results here are.
I wonder how dry or how moist the skin is on the users who have the constant call dropping problem.
My skin is really dry, bordering on uber dry.
No problems here really.
In fact, yesterday for the first time I ever I conducted a long distance call from a basement conference room in Stillwater Minnesota normally impossible to make cell calls from on ANY cell phone be it LG, Blackberry (various models), etc.
The iPhone4 held that call brilliantly - normally I had to walk upstairs to make and hold a call at that location.

The first picture is fake, that's beyond the question. Look at the iCal icon � it's much too wide. From this angle, it should be rather taller than wider. The other icons look out of shape too.

Dude, honestly, WTF are you going on about? You throw abstract generic words around like "software and computer engineering" that encompass literally the ENTIRE computer market and then tell people they don't know WTF they're talking about. Sorry, but I have to laugh. You demonstrate no knowledge about the subject and your reponses are pretty much, "I won't even bother to argue because you're a 5-year old". ROTFLMAO. Nothing says "clueless" to me quite like throwing insults and giving no valid arguments what-so-ever on a given topic. I've got two degrees in electronic engineering so you calling me a 5-year old is so utterly absurd, it's a joke.
What Apple does with iOS and OSX uses engineering, but there is no technology 'god' up there demanding that Apple head in the direction of closed systems, non-professional features, etc. There is no template that forces Apple to go in a given direction. More advanced engineering doesn't mean more closed. Learn the difference for goodness sake!
Apple is making these decisions based on business decisions with some 'control' factors thrown-in based on their CEO's personality. Engineering simply accommodates/implements the business decisions taken. It is not responsible for those decisions in any way. They could accommodate improvements with or without open/closed. Yes, it has 'something' to do with it, but it's completely irrelevant to the conversation here because implementing or creating a vision technologically is still not a business decision whether to do something or not (in this case whether to pursue real technological improvements to OSX or spend their time dumbing down the interface and/or making it more like the iPad/iPhone. Those are 'lateral' steps at best, not engineering breakthroughs.

should have realized that it was over at 9pm PST, but I did start trying to put my order in at 8:45pm PST. Tried to used my $50 credit from ipod settlement but the promo code field was already filled out so I didn't have anywhere to put it. talked to a rep (just after it passed 9pm PST) by which time the discounts were all gone anyways :( The rep told me, no discount codes can be used today - kind of lame.

Apple's success is in large part driven by the ecosystem that they have built around iPod/iTunes/iPhone/iPad. Good luck to anyone breaking into that anytime soon. The day I can buy a song on Mac/PC, synch it to my Android phone, then stream it around my home to HiFi or TV then we will have a competitor. Apple knows it, the record companies and studios know it, someone needs to tell Google.

There is nothing wrong with a doctor talking to anyone about guns, as they can be a risk to health. That's like telling my doctor he can't tell me to use condoms if he asks if I'm gay, or that he can't tell me to do certain stretches before I play hockey, if he asks me about that. This proposed law is a load of crap. Asking people about activities they engage in are key to treating a patient.

It can't be all metal. Otherwise it will have some serious signal issues.
Using aluminum would hinder the cellular reception wouldn't it ?
The plastic apple, plus using the new MBP strategy of putting antennas at the openings should do fine.
I call BS on this, Johnnie Ive wouldn't make a non rounded design like that, the lines are too harsh.
Looks *just* like the iPad - well except the bevels leading from the corners to the back look a little unrefined, leading me to think it could be a rendering. other than that, looks pretty spot-on. Personally, I think they are going back to Alu.

If it's just Disney, then there's not much point. The reason iTMS succeeded from the start was that it was simple and it had the largest library from which you could purchase single songs. If the iTunes Movie store starts with just Disney movies, then it's dead in the water. Let's just hope that ThinkSecret is wrong again, as usual.
It's a start. What's tricky is the execution itself. Other studios will join the bandwagon like they did with music store.

That campaign was saying "Look what we can do that you can't."
That is proper advertising and the way it should be done.
