
"It's edgy, an ablum to rock out to," spills the They Came From Upstairs actress. In one track, "Hot Mess," Tisdale sings about hanging with a motorcycle-driving bad boy who makes life a little more fun. On another, "How Do You Love Someone?" she channels the anxieties of a girl who has watched her parents split up and treat each other badly. Her new songs are a far cry from Sharpay Evans.
"With this album, Ashley developed an independence. Instead of just making the typical rythmic dance-sounding pop record, she came in and said, 'I want to do something that has guitar, drums, and a little more edge." says Tom Whalley, CEO and chairman of her record label, Warner Bros. Records.
