Hot Video Alert: Kim Wilde - Lights Down Low

The incomparable British club queen Kim Wilde is BACK with a vengeance on her new single "Lights Down Low" (via Pop In Stereo).  The single will be the first off her upcoming eleventh studio album, Come Out and Play, due out in Germany August 27th on EMI.  Fun, high energy dance pop is what Wilde is known for and she DELIVERS that and then some with the new single.

It's hard to believe that Wilde's last album, Never Say Never came out nearly 4 years ago. That's a long time!  Pity that the album is only getting a European release but that's where her albums are selling I guess.  Wilde's last U.S. release was the 1988 release Close which spawned only one charting Billboard single, "You Came" (check out this 2006 update from Never Say Never) which would go on to be Wilde's last charting U.S. single to date.  Looks like for the time being anyway, U.S. fans will have to glimpse upon her pop greatness from afar.  On a side note...here's hoping that this single gets some remixes.  I won't be holding my breath though, German releases often get snubbed by the big remixers. *SIGH*
